NORWICH MASONIC CIRCLE

“enabling the enhancement of masonic knowledge”

The Circle was formed by Norwich Masons who had expressed a wish to establish a forum in which to enhance and compliment the existing Lodges of Instruction. The format of Meetings is informal in both dress and structure, and active involvement is encouraged and welcomed.

The content of the Meetings, hopefully, will be informative and educational in all matters relating to Masonic Ritual and History and will appeal to all Freemasons irrespective of rank. The Circle will meet quarterly at 47 St Giles at 7.30 p.m. and the Meetings will close at 9.00 p.m., and is open to all Masons.

The Inaugural Meeting was held on Wednesday 10th November 2004 when W.Bro. Robin Pooley gave a talk entitled "The Start of the Journey" in the course of which some of the details and historical basis of relevant parts of the Initiation were explained and discussed. All those present felt the Meeting relaxed, informative, and educational, and were fully supportive of the concept.

The next Meeting is to be held on Thursday 15th November 2007 when W.Bro Roger Lees will give a talk entitled

"THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF LODGE OFFICERS"

Dates of future Meetings - February 2008 : May 2008
