The Norfolk Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge

The Norfolk Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge was consecrated at the Masonic Royal Assembly Rooms Great Yarmouth on Saturday 5th December 1987.

The formation of the Steward's Lodge was to provide a vehicle for the Provincial Grand Master to select active masons who are willing to work and organise in ways he see fit. To be appointed a Provincial Grand Steward, you will have been selected by the Provincial Grand Master himself and are distinguished from all other masons by wearing a distinctive red apron and collar with a cornucopia as its emblem.

The Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge is an executive Lodge of the Province and Brethren within it, know that by accepting their advancement, additional calls will be made on their time and talents. One of the principal annual events which falls within the remit of the Steward's Lodge is the Annual Investiture meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge of Norfolk held in Norwich.

Throughout the year there are charity events to organise and various occasions where the Provincial Grand Master requires the attendance of his stewards to fill the duties he has allocated. Our Lodge meets three times a year. Our Installation meeting normally takes place at the Masonic Centre, St. Giles Street, Norwich, in March. The other two meetings are held at other Masonic venues throughout the Province.
