Originally a Chapel of the Unitarian Church, the hall is about 175 years old. It was originally purchased in 1954 through the good offices of two members of the Mongomerie Lodge, Bros. Rear Admiral A.H. Taylor and R.W. Chitty, for £800. It was then converted by the brethren of the lodge for masonic purposes, the first meeting being held in December 1954.

For many years, there were no dining or bar facilities, the nearby Park Hotel being used. However in 1993, the whole premises were renovated and a dining room, bar and kitchen were added

Provincial Grand Lodge of Norfolk - Wroxham Masonic Centre

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Norfolk consists of 75 private lodges, including over 4,500 members. Masonic meetings are held at 23 masonic centres throughout Norfolk.
