Masonic Hall

Mill Road,
Aylsham

Map

The Temple was originally a Methodist Chapel, dating back to 1887. It was purchased in late 1962 by Suffield Lodge for £600, and the first meeting was held there on 18th September 1963. Being at one time a Methodist building, it was a condition of the sale that no alcoholic drink would be consumed on the premises.

As a matter of historical interest, the building was used by the Ministry of Food during the Second World War for serving lunches for the modern equivilent of 3p! There is adequate parking in the vicinity.
